#4 done, 36 left to go :)

Got preemie hat #4 done. Same yarn, same look as number three, so no picture of it this time. I'm starting on #5 tonight, and trying it with a new yarn. Hopefully I'll be updating with a picture of the finished hat tomorrow. So far I'm on track, getting one done about every day. I have a total of 47 days to get the 40 hats done, so that will be nice. We'll see if I can keep up at this pace the whole time. :)

It is nice to be knitting again. It looks like I might be meeting up with a fellow knitter on Saturday, and I'll start learning how to knit in the round. I guess sooner or later I'll have to learn how to knit on double-pointed needles too....and take up crocheting again......wow, looks like I might be busy....hee hee

Preemie hat #3

Ok, preemie hat #3 is done!!!! I used the same pattern as above, but I took out 10 of the middle rows (K one row, P one row ones) so the brim doesn't have to be folded up (and it cut off some time). I used Caron Wintuk yarn again for it, baby rainbow ombre (#3527). The next few hats I'll be making will be made with this yarn, so I'll prolly just update when I get through a few more, unless I go yarn shopping this weekend. :)

Have a wonderful weekend if I don't update sooner!

Woo Hoo!! Back into knitting I go!!!

Well, I've started knitting again. One of the wonderful mommas on DiaperPin decided to make 40 preemie hats in 40 days for lent. I thought it was a good idea (along with some other mommas), so we are all doing them. Here's my first two hats. They're taking me quite a while to get done, but I haven't knitted really in about 3 months. I used the second pattern listed here. I'm using Caron Wintuk yarn, color Summer Breeze Ombre (#3618). 2 hats down, 38 to go...hee hee
